User accounts

User accounts go beyond the current founder-account scope to support every audience the platform serves — investors saving deals, journalists tracking events, ecosystem operators managing dashboards. v1 only supports the founder flavor; the architecture is ready for the expansion but the surfaces are not.

Account types planned

Founder (v1, live)

Self-edit profile, claim startups, submit opportunities, manage own coverage mentions. The only account type currently exposed.

Investor (v1.1)

Save startups, save opportunities, subscribe to filtered weekly digests, mark events as "intend to attend". Read-only relative to public data; write access only to own saved items.

Operator (v1.2)

Accelerator / agency / government program lead. Submit programs via the existing opportunity submit form + a private dashboard showing application counts (when their program is linked in the platform).

Journalist (v1.3)

Verified press account. Embargo access to upcoming editorial coverage, press-release distribution submissions, citation tracking.
