Marketing automation handles the platform’s outbound communications — weekly digest delivery, transactional emails (submit-event confirmations, sponsor lead alerts), and lifecycle nurture (welcome series for new founder accounts). v1 uses a single template-based sender; the automation layer adds segmentation + scheduling + deliverability monitoring.
Automation streams
- Welcome stream: 3 emails over the first 14 days post-signup. Email 1 = welcome + profile completion CTA. Email 2 = "your first opportunity" (filtered by founder country). Email 3 = invite to give feedback.
- Re-engagement stream: triggered when a user hasn’t opened a digest in 30 days. Single email with personalized "you missed these" highlights.
- Deliverability monitoring: bounce rate, complaint rate, list-cleanup rules. Hard bounces auto-removed; soft bounces give 3 chances then quarantine.
- Per-stream metrics: open rate, click rate, unsubscribe rate. Streams with unsubscribe rate >0.5% get paused for editorial review.
