Admin management

Showcase admin manages the 4-gate verification workflow: intake submissions, run editorial verification, publish, monitor for lifecycle events. Phase 1 is repo-based; Phase 2 ships a verification queue + status board.

Phase 1 workflow (current)

1. Editor opens `core/data/mock-startups.ts` in a PR.
2. Adds new Startup entry with all required fields.
3. Documents the 4-gate verification in the PR description (legal entity source, founder verification refs, sector/stage source, description fact-check refs).
4. Updates `mock-ecosystem-links.ts` with manual cross-module links (mentioned in articles, participated in events, etc).
5. Editorial lead reviews + merges. The 4 gates are part of the review checklist, not just the data shape.

Phase 2 — Admin UI (planned)

Intake queue

Form submissions from /submit/startup land here. Each submission carries the founder’s self-declared fields + uploaded supporting documents.

Verification panel

Editor walks through the 4 gates with a checklist UI. Each gate captures source notes that get archived for compliance.

Lifecycle monitoring

Dashboard flags startups where the public funding announcement, acquisition rumor, or shutdown signal hits public data — prompting editorial re-verification.

Sponsored Showcase editor

For paid deeper-profile placement. Captures the sponsor relationship + adds the "Sponsored Showcase" label to the public detail page.
