Modules Documentation
Cross-module connections
Which other modules surface signals here and why.
A Founder File is the highest-intent cross-module destination on the platform. Inbound surfacing comes from Opportunities (max 2), Founder Profiles (max 1), Editorial articles (max 1), Calendar Events (max 1), and the cross-module signals block on Startup Showcase pages. Outbound is the strongest in the platform — files convert directly into opportunity applications.
Outbound link palette (per strategy §2.D)
- Open Opportunities · max 3 · HIGHEST PRIORITY
- Opportunities matching the file’s `category` / topic. When a user finishes reading "Before You Ask for Funding," seeing 3 open accelerators matching their profile is the highest-converting moment on the platform.
- Founder Profiles · max 1
- Founders whose `current_challenge` matches the file’s topic. Provides "people like me succeeded by reading this" social proof.
- Editorial articles · max 1
- Articles in the same `topic_cluster`. Extends the theoretical / contextual layer for readers who want more breadth.
- Startup Showcase · max 1
- Startups at the stage the file targets (e.g. pre-seed file → pre-seed startups). Inspirational case-study angle.
- Calendar Events · max 1
- Workshops / Q&As / panels where the file’s topic is on the agenda.
- Sponsor block · max 1 · (only when sponsored)
- When `sponsorId` is set, a discrete sponsor signal block appears at the end of the cross-module signals. Clearly labeled.
Why files-to-opportunities is the conversion engine
A founder reading a file is preparing for action. The 3 opportunity slots at the end of the reader page are the closest thing to a "buy now" CTA on the platform — the reader has just absorbed the theory, and the open opportunities are the practice. The funnel `founder_file_reader_view → opportunity_external_apply_click` is the platform’s most important conversion narrative.
