User journeys
Common paths through the module.
Founder Files has a two-step depth: the user lands on the details page (marketing surface), then chooses to either download OR open the reader. The reader is where deep engagement happens — reading progress + TOC + section navigation. Cross-module conversion mostly fires from the reader.
Six discovery paths
- From Founder Files listing — Browse by category / topic / language. Highest action intent.
- From an Opportunity detail — The cross-module Related Signals block surfaces preparation files (max 2). Highest correlation between read-then-apply.
- From a Founder Profile — File for the founder’s `journey_stage` surfaces. Less direct conversion; more inspiration-driven.
- From an Editorial article — When `article.isPractical = true`, a file appears in the Related Signals block.
- From a Calendar Event — Pre-event preparation file surfaces (e.g. "How to Network at a Startup Summit" before RiseUp Summit).
- Search / social / direct — External arrival to the details page. Open-graph card optimized for share-driven traffic.
On-page flow (details + reader)
Details page: Hero (cover + file number + brand eyebrow + title + dek) → Best For block → What You’ll Learn (numbered list) → Inside this file (TOC preview) → Sponsor mini-row (when applicable) → Available languages + reading time → Download CTA (primary) + Open Reader (secondary) → Related Ecosystem Signals → Inline Signal CTA. Reader page: Sticky reader header (back to details + reading progress bar) → TOC sidebar with active-section highlight → Body sections (markdown-rendered) → "What’s next" CTAs at the end → Related Ecosystem Signals → Inline Signal CTA.
