In a move that truly shows innovation's growing role in reshaping education, EdVentures, the investment arm of Nahdet Misr Group, partnered with the Mastercard Foundation's Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning to celebrate the graduation of the second cohort of the "Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship in Egypt." This celebration confirms that EdTech is moving beyond experimental initiatives to become a widespread force for good. This event marks the culmination of an eight-month, equity-free acceleration program. It empowered 12 growth-stage startups to develop scalable educational solutions aimed at tackling key challenges in the education system. These solutions range from foundational skill development and job market readiness to accessibility tools and comprehensive skill building. Since the fellowship launched in Egypt through EdVentures, the program has supported 23 startups across two cohorts. Their solutions have reached over 410,000 learners by January 2026, reflecting a significant shift in using technology as a lever for achieving sustainable educational equity, rather than just a digital channel for content delivery. Dalia Ibrahim, Founder and CEO of EdVentures, emphasized that innovation in education can only succeed if it's scalable, connected to real-world needs, and capable of creating long-term impact. She noted that supporting entrepreneurs in this sector goes beyond just funding; it includes empowering them to turn innovation into tangible educational outcomes and genuine job market readiness.
