Zoho Celebrates Major Milestones, Driving Digital Transformation in the UAE and Beyond
Zoho, the technology provider with its regional headquarters in Dubai, announced two pivotal achievements during its 30th-anniversary celebration. The company now serves over one million paying customers, and its user base across various platforms like Zoho, ManageEngine, Qntrl, and TrainerCentral has surpassed 150 million users globally. In the past year, the company recorded a 32% annual growth in customer numbers, with revenues increasing by 20%. The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region emerged as its fastest-growing market worldwide, showing a profit increase of over 41% in the last five years. The UAE stood out as one of the top markets in the region, achieving a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 77% in user numbers and a 45% increase in profits since 2021. Sridhar Vembu, Co-founder and Chief Scientist at Zoho, shared, "Our self-funded, private company status, combined with developing all our solutions in-house, gives Zoho a unique position in the market. Our focus is always on empowering businesses and fostering their growth, while committing to deliver powerful, scalable, and highly cost-efficient solutions that ensure real and sustainable value for our customers."

Strategic Investments to Boost Digital Transformation

Since opening its first regional office in Dubai, Zoho has continued to expand its presence in the region through strategic investments in local infrastructure, support services, and tailoring its products to market demands. This aligns with its "Transnational Localism" strategy, which blends global connectivity with deep local roots. The company has allocated AED 100 million for establishing two data centers in Dubai and Abu Dhabi this year. Additionally, an extra AED 80 million has been invested to strengthen strategic partnerships with government entities such as the Department of Economic Development (DED), Dubai Free Zone Authority, Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, Sharjah Media City (Shams), Umm Al Quwain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zones Authority (RAKEZ).

Sustainable Commitment and Business Empowerment

Hyther Nizam, CEO for the Middle East and Africa, emphasized that Zoho's expansion in the region marks a significant milestone in its global journey. He stressed that the company's commitment extends beyond just providing technology; it's about empowering businesses to reach their full potential and fostering a culture of innovation and sustainable digital transformation. Since expanding into the MENA region, Zoho has helped over 10,000 companies adopt cloud computing technologies. This has been achieved through strategic partnerships with government and private sector organizations in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, Jordan, Morocco, and Lebanon, all aimed at supporting digital transformation agendas and accelerating the adoption of modern technologies by businesses.
