Egypt's Senate Committee on Education, Scientific Research, and Information Technology will open discussions on Sunday regarding internet package prices and providing unlimited packages at fair rates. This follows a parliamentary proposal by MP Nashat Hatta, as this directly impacts the operating costs for digital and startup projects. Also on the same day, the committee will discuss MP Walaa Hermas's proposal to launch an Artificial Intelligence (AI) club project. The Senate committees are preparing to hold a series of intensive meetings for specialized committees to discuss vital economic and legislative issues. These include the National Industrial Strategy, evaluating the legislative impact of the Investment Law, in addition to a package of housing and energy projects. On Sunday, the Industry, Trade, and Small, Medium, and Micro Enterprises Committee will continue its discussion on Egypt's National Industrial Strategy and deepening local manufacturing, with government representatives in attendance. Additionally, the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee will hold a joint meeting with the Constitutional and Legislative Affairs Committee's office on Monday. They will discuss a study on the legislative impact of Investment Law No. 72 of 2017, aiming to identify obstacles faced by investors and assess the effectiveness of tax and non-tax incentives.
