Editorial discipline is the moat. It is what makes StartupHub.today defensible, and it is what every page on the platform must reinforce — from the homepage to a sponsor disclosure footer.
Seven editorial principles
- Verify before publishing. — Every founder, startup, opportunity, and event passes editorial verification. No exceptions.
- Name your sources. — No anonymous sources unless protection is editorially justified — and even then, only with named editor approval.
- Build the mention graph. — Every article mentions the founders, startups, events, and opportunities relevant to it. The cross-module link graph rewards rich mentions.
- Disclose sponsorship cleanly. — Sponsored Founder Files, coverage, and series carry visible sponsor names. Sponsor never edits the editorial body.
- Treat EN and AR equally. — Arabic is authored, not translated. Both versions are editorially reviewed, and both are first-class in the link graph.
- Compress, do not expand. — Weekly cadence forces compression. If a piece does not earn its length, it gets cut.
- Connect, do not isolate. — Every detail page surfaces related signals from other modules — the user never hits a dead end.
