Dr. Walid Sweida, who heads the Engineering Consulting Committee at the Egyptian Businessmen's Association and is also the chairman of El-Deqqa Engineering Consulting Company, shared a really important insight. He said that the biggest mistake some real estate developers make isn't during the execution phase itself, but rather in choosing their engineering consulting firm. In a Facebook post, he explained that many problems that pop up during project execution are actually the result of decisions made right at the very beginning of the project. He also pointed out that a good consultant's role goes way beyond just providing drawings. He added that a great consultant helps reduce modifications during execution, keeps costs in check, saves time, and ultimately boosts the overall quality of the project. Dr. Walid Sweida emphasized that real estate developers shouldn't just look for the lowest price when picking an engineering consulting firm. Instead, they should be searching for a true partner who can protect their investments.
