Egyptian entrepreneur Amir Ali, who founded and serves as CEO of RoboDesk, shared that many startup founders mistakenly believe that chaos and experimentation are permanent states. However, he emphasized that the real goal for any startup is to move beyond this initial phase, not to stay stuck in it. Amir Ali referenced American entrepreneur Steve Blank's definition of startups as "temporary organizations," considering it an accurate description that truly reflects the nature of this stage. In a Facebook post, Amir Ali clarified that chaos, constant pivoting, and continuous experimentation aren't defining characteristics of a startup's identity. Instead, they are temporary conditions that should be overcome. He stressed that from day one, a founder's objective should be to achieve a clear, repeatable, and scalable business model with solid financial planning. Reaching this stage, he noted, typically means the company has transitioned from a startup to an established and stable institution. Amir Ali added that this transformation isn't a step backward or a sign of weakness; rather, it's the ultimate purpose of building any startup. As he put it, "A true startup doesn't aim to live in chaos… it aims to get out of it."
