Lately, the Internal Trade Development Authority has been rapidly digitizing its services. This is part of a bigger plan to improve how the government operates, by launching digital projects aimed at boosting efficiency, enhancing service quality, and gradually moving towards data-driven management while cutting down on paperwork. During a large meeting, Dr. Sherif Farouk, the Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, reviewed the latest updates on these projects. These updates included improving the Authority's digital infrastructure, like updating its official website to become a single platform for electronic services. This new platform will offer users an easier experience, faster responses, and better quality services for both citizens and investors. This direction shows a gradual shift in how government services are delivered. The goal is no longer just about making services available, but also about improving the user experience and boosting internal operational efficiency. It also aims to strengthen integration between different systems within the Authority, allowing for more accurate and faster data flow. In the same vein, they reviewed a project to create an integrated digital portal for managing and operating the Authority's work. This portal will rely on a system of smart applications, including human resources management systems, electronic attendance and departure tracking, real-time analytical dashboards for commercial registry data, and a digital inspection system with interactive GIS maps. All of this supports moving towards a data-driven management model for decision-making. A key part of this system is the digital inspection system, which was activated in February 2026. This system has helped improve real-time oversight, reduce human intervention, and boost transparency. This clearly shows a move towards digitizing monitoring and control operations within the Authority. This development is part of a comprehensive implementation process that started with analysis and design, moved through development and integration, and is now reaching trial operation. This reflects a gradual approach to digital transformation, ensuring the stability and operational effectiveness of the systems. The Minister of Supply emphasized continued support for digital transformation efforts within the Ministry's affiliated bodies. He highlighted this as a key pillar for improving the quality of government services, stressing the importance of expanding the use of modern technological solutions and maximizing the benefit of data to support decision-making. Between updating its digital infrastructure and developing internal work mechanisms, the Internal Trade Development Authority is establishing a new management model based on digitization and data reliance. This will boost performance efficiency and enhance transparency in delivering government services.
