Swatx, Led by Seif Badawy, Sets Ambitious Plan to Empower 5,000 Young Tech Talents and Expand Across Markets

Swatx Technology Services aims to be a central player in supporting foreign companies looking to establish offices in the Egyptian market. They do this by offering complete solutions for building and hiring highly skilled local teams, which helps speed up market entry and reduces the time it takes for businesses to get started.

Seif Badawy, the company's Founder and CEO, shared that Swatx was established in 2017, focusing on IT services and outsourcing. They began by providing technical consultations and system integration services. About five years ago, they restructured their business model to directly offer integrated technology services.

Regional and African Expansion

Badawy explained that the company started in the Egyptian market and then expanded into Gulf countries, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Oman. Recently, they've begun steps to grow into the African continent, aiming to strengthen their presence in regional markets and provide services to multinational companies. He added that Swatx offers a comprehensive suite of services, including IT infrastructure consulting, technical support, cloud computing, and cybersecurity, along with specialized advice on system design and integration.

Accelerating Foreign Company Launches

Badawy pointed out that foreign companies often face challenges when setting up branches in Egypt. These difficulties stem from a lack of sufficient knowledge about local laws and regulations, and trouble finding qualified technical talent, which typically takes between 12 to 18 months. He clarified that Swatx tackles these challenges with its local expertise, allowing them to establish qualified technical teams in a much shorter period, sometimes as quickly as two months. They achieve this by leveraging a database containing resumes of around 700,000 specialized engineers.

Boosting Tech Services and Innovation

Currently, Swatx is focusing on developing its technical support and cloud computing services, while also expanding its cybersecurity and artificial intelligence solutions. They also plan to grow into Europe, especially Eastern European countries like Poland and and Serbia, to take advantage of competitive operating costs and geographical proximity. The company aims to hire around 5,000 young men and women over the next five years, as part of a strategy to empower businesses, streamline operations, reduce costs, and accelerate innovation.

A Leading Role in the IT Industry

Beyond his role as Swatx's CEO, Seif Badawy also serves as the Vice Chairman of the Chamber of Information Technology and Communications (CIT). He explained that the Chamber focuses on supporting the growth of its member companies locally, regionally, and globally. It also works to improve the business environment for startups, facilitate the export of digital services, and strengthen partnerships between technology companies and other industrial entities.

Badawy also mentioned the ManuTech initiative, launched by the Chamber two years ago. This initiative aims to boost the adoption of modern manufacturing technologies through an interactive platform that connects IT companies with factories. It transforms industrial challenges into real collaboration opportunities, supporting the digital transformation of the industrial sector and enhancing the national economy's competitiveness.
