This marks the first dedicated executive position for the region within Censys's leadership structure. This decision highlights the company's commitment to deepening its regional presence and accelerating growth in markets that are seeing increasing demand for external attack surface intelligence solutions. In her new role, Al-Wazani will lead a comprehensive growth strategy. This includes boosting revenue, building strong partnerships, and developing the channel ecosystem. She will also work to solidify Censys's position as a virtual layer that provides real-time insights into digital exposures and cyber threats. Sarah Ashburn, the company's Chief Revenue Officer, commented that Al-Wazani's appointment is part of expanding investments in a region with strong momentum and a strategic location for rapid growth. Ashburn noted that Mariam's extensive experience in developing cybersecurity markets makes her the perfect fit to lead this upcoming phase of expansion. Al-Wazani brings over two decades of experience in cybersecurity and enterprise technologies. She has held prominent leadership roles, including Senior Regional Director at SentinelOne, as well as key positions at VMware and Cisco Systems. In her new role, Al-Wazani will focus on expanding partnerships with government entities, institutions, and cloud and security service providers. This effort aims to support the shift from reactive defense to proactive intelligence, fostering trust based on actionable data.
