Amazon Egypt recently welcomed investors and entrepreneurs from the "Shark Tank" program on an exclusive tour of its logistics center. The goal was to show them the operational and logistical capabilities the company uses to help its selling partners grow and improve the customer experience on Amazon Egypt. The E-commerce Ecosystem This tour is part of Amazon Egypt's ongoing efforts to strengthen the e-commerce ecosystem and support entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs). They do this by offering the infrastructure, technology, and logistics solutions that help local selling partners expand their businesses and reach a wider customer base. The company highlighted that over 60% of units sold on Amazon globally come from selling partners, most of whom are small and medium-sized businesses. This really shows the crucial role entrepreneurs play in the global e-commerce world. Amazon Egypt is committed to providing the same level of support to local selling partners, giving them the tools and services they need to grow efficiently within the Egyptian market. The tour saw the attendance of Omar El Sahy, General Manager of Amazon Egypt, alongside "Shark Tank" program investors Ayman Abbas and Abdullah Sallam. Also present were Farouk Mohamed Farouk, CEO of Mobica, and a group of current and new Amazon Egypt selling partners. During the tour, participants got an inside look at how the logistics center operates, from storage and packaging to order fulfillment and delivery. This demonstrated how the integrated system helps selling partners manage their operations efficiently, expand their product reach, and connect with more customers across different governorates. The activities also included an interactive session led by Amazon Egypt's leadership team. They shared practical advice and direct business insights with the participating entrepreneurs, aiming to help them understand how to grow on e-commerce platforms and leverage available logistics and technology solutions to boost their digital presence. Supporting Entrepreneurs This initiative reaffirmed the commitment of both Amazon Egypt and the "Shark Tank" program to supporting entrepreneurs and SMEs in Egypt. They aim to equip these businesses with the expertise and tools needed to grow and boost their competitiveness within the digital economy. Amazon Egypt continues to empower local selling partners through its advanced infrastructure and sophisticated technical and logistical solutions. This opens up greater opportunities for growth and expansion for businesses of all sizes, perfectly aligning with Egypt's digital transformation goals and Vision 2030.
