Orange Egypt and Circle K Partner to Boost Digital Transformation in Retail

In a growing move to speed up digital transformation in the retail sector, Orange Egypt and Circle K Egypt have announced a new strategic partnership. Under this agreement, Orange will become the digital partner responsible for supporting Circle K's technological infrastructure and connecting its branches across Egypt.

This partnership aims to develop the communications system and digital infrastructure for the retail chain, which manages over 200 branches in Egypt. This will boost operational efficiency, improve daily operations management, and support future expansion plans.

The partnership includes providing Circle K with comprehensive solutions like high-speed internet services and secure inter-branch connectivity systems, ensuring more stable and efficient business continuity. It also involves implementing SD-WAN technology, a modern network management technique that offers greater flexibility in connecting different locations and improves network performance and security.

This step aligns with the broader national strategy for digital transformation and Egypt Vision 2030. Technological infrastructure is becoming increasingly vital for supporting commercial activities and developing the business environment, especially in sectors that rely on widespread geographical presence and fast service delivery.

Eng. Mohamed Shebl, Executive Vice President of the Business Sector at Orange Egypt, stated that this partnership reflects the trust major global brands place in Orange's capabilities as a provider of digital transformation solutions and smart infrastructure. He noted that Orange is committed to enabling its partners to develop more flexible and efficient business models, supported by modern technologies that keep pace with growth and expansion plans.

He added that Orange continues to deploy the latest technological solutions to enhance operational efficiency and boost companies' competitiveness, supporting the overall drive towards digital transformation in the business sector.

For her part, Alaa Soliman, General Manager and Executive Vice President of TMT, said that collaborating with Orange Business is a pivotal step in Circle K Egypt's digital transformation journey. She explained that the partnership ensures more secure and reliable connectivity between branches and helps deliver faster, smoother services to customers, ultimately enhancing the operational experience.

Circle K is one of the most prominent global retail chains, originally from Canada, with a presence in several countries worldwide. It is the second-largest chain in this sector globally, boasting a history of over 70 years since its founding in 1951.
