National Telecommunication Institute Equips 972 'AI Ambassadors' with Future-Ready Digital Skills

The National Telecommunication Institute (NTI), located in Smart Village, recently celebrated a big achievement: the graduation of 972 trainees! These graduates are part of the first advanced level cohort of the "AI Ambassadors" program. This program is truly special, being the largest of its kind designed to train non-specialists in using artificial intelligence technologies and their applications across various professional fields. The launch of this advanced level came about because of the huge success and demand for the basic level. Its main goal is to empower participants to use sophisticated tools in areas like automation and predictive analytics, helping them design smart, workable solutions and make data-driven decisions. The program also dives into modern AI concepts, including neural networks and deep learning. Plus, it offers hands-on training with no-code tools like Google Vertex AI, along with practical applications of natural language processing and generative AI using tools such as ChatGPT, and automation deployment through platforms like Zapier and Make. What's more, the program also includes training on AI-powered productivity tools like Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, and DeepSeek. Participants learn to design and implement smart workflows using Automation Anywhere and Power Automate, work with Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), and master predictive analytics techniques, including classification, regression, and clustering, all taught in a simple, practical way. The program pays special attention to generative AI, covering topics like deepfakes and how to detect them. To top it all off, trainees complete an applied project in key sectors such as business, healthcare, education, and government services.

Supporting Digital Transformation

The "AI Ambassadors" program was created with a clear mission: to empower all segments of society to harness the power of artificial intelligence. The aim is to boost performance efficiency and productivity across different work environments, perfectly aligning with the nation's broader efforts in digital transformation and building a knowledge-based economy. During the graduation ceremony, Dr. Ahmed Khattab, the Director of the National Telecommunication Institute, held an engaging open discussion with the graduates. He wanted to hear firsthand how they benefited from their new skills and about their practical experiences using AI in diverse fields. Graduates shared insights from areas like real estate marketing, education, digital content creation, and library management, truly showcasing the program's strong real-world impact.
