Jumia Egypt has announced a huge sales campaign with discounts of up to 80% to celebrate its 14th anniversary in the Egyptian market. This special event runs from May 4th to May 24th, featuring offers across various product categories, all aimed at boosting the digital shopping experience throughout all governorates of Egypt.
This campaign is part of the company's efforts to expand its diverse e-commerce services. It includes discounts on fashion, health and beauty products, mobile phones and accessories, electronics, and home appliances, giving consumers more choices during the promotional period.
The celebration features a variety of daily deals like “Deal of the Day” and “Weekend Offers,” plus “Flash Sales” with discounts on limited-quantity items. There are also “Door Crashers” deals on May 4th, 8th, 15th, and 22nd, which will offer three main products at huge discounts. On top of that, Jumia is introducing special pricing initiatives tied to the number 14, including products starting at EGP 140, EGP 1,400, and EGP 14,000, along with an extra discount of up to 14% on selected items, and interest-free installments for up to 14 months on specific offers.
To boost its logistics network, Jumia continues to develop its Jumia Express services, which provide free and fast delivery for a large number of products to various governorates. This will improve service efficiency and enhance the overall online shopping experience for customers.
The company is also offering an interactive experience through digital games like “Wheel of Fortune,” where customers can win prizes, discounts, and shopping vouchers. This is part of Jumia's goal to blend entertainment into the shopping journey.
This campaign is supported by a host of international and local brands, including Adidas, Xiaomi, LC Waikiki, GSK, Defacto, Activ, and Luna, along with many local sellers on the platform.
For direct engagement, Jumia is carrying out on-the-ground activities through its JForce initiative. Representatives will be in streets and sales locations, offering a physical “Wheel of Fortune,” mobile promotions, and promotional vehicles to connect directly with customers and merchants.
The campaign also supports “Buy Now, Pay Later” (BNPL) installment solutions, in partnership with financial institutions such as the National Bank of Egypt, Halan, Souhoola, ValU, AMAN, FAB, Contact Now, and Klivvr. These partnerships offer interest-free installment plans for up to 24 months.
Lionel Mobi, CEO of Jumia, stated that the Egyptian market is one of the company's most strategic markets, given the rapid growth of e-commerce. He noted that Jumia continues to invest in developing its logistics and technological services to enhance the user experience.
He emphasized that the campaign reflects Jumia's commitment to offering real value to consumers through extensive discounts and a more interactive shopping experience. He also highlighted the company's ongoing efforts to boost its investments in the Egyptian market, expand its partner network, and develop its platform's technological infrastructure in the upcoming phase.
