Egrobots Launches Egypt's First AI-Powered Autonomous Harvesting Robot

This is a huge step forward for Egyptian startups in deep technology and autonomous systems! Egrobots has proudly announced the launch of the first autonomous agricultural harvesting robot developed entirely by Egyptian hands. This is a groundbreaking achievement, not just for Egypt, but for the entire Arab world. This new robot marks a practical shift for AI applications, moving them from just software into real-world farm operations. It cleverly combines computer vision, artificial intelligence, and autonomous movement systems. This allows the robot to identify ripe fruits, figure out the best paths to move, and harvest crops accurately and efficiently, all without direct human involvement. This development comes at a time when the world is rapidly moving towards autonomous agriculture systems. These systems rely on analyzing data and making instant decisions during operation to boost productivity, reduce waste, and improve the overall efficiency of farming processes. The robot boasts a flexible and scalable design, meaning it can be equipped with up to four robotic arms working at the same time. This boosts its production capacity to about 160 kilograms per hour! Plus, it can work continuously for 24 hours with stable efficiency, giving farmers a practical tool to tackle challenges like seasonal labor shortages and rising operating costs. Experts are saying this project represents a significant transformation for Egyptian technology companies. It shows a shift from simply using ready-made AI solutions to developing integrated DeepTech systems that are designed and built locally to serve vital production sectors, especially agriculture and industry. Akhlad Al-Abhar, Co-founder and CEO of Egrobots, shared his excitement, stating that the robot's launch is a crucial step towards a future where smart systems become a core part of the region's agricultural infrastructure. He emphasized that this project truly highlights the ability of Egyptian talent to develop globally competitive technological solutions. He added that through this innovation, the company aims to support digital transformation in the agricultural sector. It also opens up new possibilities for using AI and robotics to enhance sustainability and boost production efficiency in Egypt and other regional markets. Egrobots was founded as an Egyptian company specializing in developing robots based on what's known as Physical AI and autonomous systems. Their team brings over 50 years of combined experience in robotics, AI, and industrial systems. The company has a track record of successful pilot projects, including developing a traffic robot in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior. Egrobots is also an alumnus of Google for Startups programs and a member of the NVIDIA Inception program, which strengthens its presence within the global innovation ecosystem for AI and deep technology. Currently, Egrobots is working on advanced humanoid robot solutions, alongside technologies aimed at the manufacturing and industrial production sectors. This is all part of a strategy to support the future of automation and digital transformation in the region, aligning perfectly with the goals of Egypt's Vision 2030.
