Dr. Ihab Moslem: Learn Management to Cut Risks and Boost Business Success

Dr. Ihab Moslem, a management and marketing consultant, shared that starting a project without learning management significantly increases your risk. He clarified that while achieving success doesn't mean formal study is useless, it also doesn't guarantee success on its own. He further explained in a Facebook post that studying management reduces risks and boosts opportunities for success and growth. He cautioned against relying solely on personal experience when creating management content or establishing business rules, stressing that real value comes from adopting best practices and scientific tools. Dr. Moslem pointed out that personal experience can sometimes be misleading. He noted that going against scientific principles without proper knowledge is a form of misguidance, while aligning with them purely by chance, without understanding, is just luck, not science. He affirmed that experience is indeed important, but it's never a substitute for scientific knowledge. He strongly emphasized the need to possess genuine scientific understanding before writing books, offering courses, creating content, or providing consultations. He also urged anyone following management content not to blindly trust individuals who speak with confidence without first verifying their scientific background and their true understanding of what they're presenting. He explained that learning incorrect information can end up costing more time and money than not learning anything at all. He added that personal experiences might spark a question or a hypothesis, but they only become scientific knowledge when they are rigorously examined using scientific methodology, data, comparisons, and testability. He concluded by stating that the scientific method is built on observation, experimentation, and systematic testing, and wisely remarked: "Success is an arrogant teacher... and the ignorant are bold."
