Cisco's Mohamed Kamel: AI is Boosting How Businesses Spot Cyber Threats

Mohamed Kamel, the General Manager for Cisco in Egypt, Libya, and Sudan, shared that cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (AI) are now super closely linked. He explained that you really can't tackle one without considering the other, especially with how fast digital technologies are evolving and how cyber threats are growing in size and complexity.

 Speaking at the fifth CAISEC Information Security and Cybersecurity Conference, he highlighted that AI applications are now playing a crucial role in analyzing data, recognizing different systems, and spotting potential threats. This really helps organizations get better at protecting their digital stuff and handling risks more efficiently.

 He stressed that Cisco truly believes digital trust is one of the main foundations for successful digital transformation. He mentioned that Cisco is working hand-in-hand with various groups and organizations to help them boost their cyber readiness and improve their ability to stand strong against sophisticated attacks that are powered by AI technologies.

 Kamel added that facing today's cyber challenges means we need stronger cooperation and partnerships between governments, different industries, academic institutions, and the entire cybersecurity community.
